Sirena Helps CP Did you expect the meeting in a pool? ...4 ' 4 34 fr, 'Y W Last year, the girls' swim team of North Miami or- ganized the Sirenajs - French for mermaid - as an interest club for swimming, It was formed to create interest in and support for our swim team, as well as to raise funds for our various swim teams and anyone who is exceptionally interested in swirnming. One of the many services these girls perform throughout the year is the collection of money for the Cerebral Palsy Association, through which they become interested in teaching GP patients how to swim. Sirena girls are pledged to stimulate and formulate interest and service for the varsity swim team, to pro- mote good will between the student body, and to ex- emplify the sportsmanship of their school at all com- petitive events. Sirena's King Neptune, Freddy Hoedl, learns to dive from President Ellen Rohrback, Vice-President Barbara Scanlon, Secretary Linda Ammerrnan and Treasurer Nancy Selig.

Lettermanas Club, composed of varsity athletes who have earned at least one letter, merits much respect. These are the boys who give their all for North Miami High in our athletic competition. Pam Hepp , ..... Sweetheart During basketball season the Letterrnen can be seen at every game helping to maintain order. The club also sponsored a dance at the close of the ootball season. Lettermanys representation in the homecoming parade featured their sweetheart, Smiling officers are Gor- don Branch, Tom Rollar, Rick Willer, and Jerry Jarvis.
