The Junior Optimist Club of North Miami was organized in September of 1955 under the sponsorship of Mr, Darrow and Mr. Edge. A community service club as well as a school service club, ,58-'59 projects included the blood bank, the Toys for Tots drive at Christmas, and helping at the Day Nursery in down- town Miami.
