Originating in 1954, Honoria is known for the many projects it undertakes. Such as decals, homecoming float, forensic follies, mainte- nance of the school seal, Singing Valentine, Sr. picnic novelty hats, I.D. cards, Sr. placement cards, Cancer Drive, and many other projects. Retarded Children are Sandy Smith, Francis Flood, Linda Sorrota, in its fourth year of service to North Miami, is sponsored by Soroptimist VVoman's Club, who present an award each year to the rnost outstanding Sorrota rnernber. This year 36 more girls joined the ranks of the red and white, bringing the total member- ship up to 48. Sorrota sponsors a toy drive for mentally retarded children, a clothes drive, a bake sale, a dance after a basketball game, and the talent show at the foreign exchange carnival. School sponsored by Miss Marie Mastro- paolo, Sorrota strives for service to school, church and community. 4' My Ankrom, Pat Wurzberger and Marie Alexander. During initiation week, new member Francis Flood bows down to Marie Alexander.
