The French Club Acjuires Mrs. Attaway prepares to serve some Ava Lynn Foy and Shari Leathers are up bright and French cuisine. early at the petit dejuener. Members enjoy sampling different types of food. Keith Barron enjoys all the French cuisine. Once upon a time there was a French council who made up a club of francais speaking students, later to be called The French Club. This council planned out activities fFrench of coursej to do in the upcoming year. They got off to a very early start, 5:30 a.m. to be exact, for the petit dejuener fannual French breakfastj. The warm, soft, brown beignets, though some were burnt, warmed everyone as the members learned to eat as the French. The council then decided to see a French movie, with Eng- lish subtitles of course. Ay, but, before the movie they made a slight detour to the French bakery. Then it was ice skating. Some came home with bruises, some with concussions, but all with full stomachs as they stopped at a small bistro for more French delicacies. Then Christmas came and it included le creche, I Est Ne and le Pere Noel. At the Christmas feast some ate the traditional cheese fbriej but others were daring and sampled the escargot fpremier fautj. Then afterwards the council had to plan for the annual banquet Cstart a Iistj. The banquet arrived and again everyone ate to their heart's content. But what is there really to be remembered about the French Club? The one thing the French Club does like the French is EAT! Now that is what is called Joi de vivre, n'est: ce pas? S- Becky Wallace just loves French breakfast. ' -le.-.uf-ss:ta:.Ss. fs. - ,Fil asssnwam,,.t-.Wasp-..,sl . ju ig T me M I . if .X r its i t.., .. hiv WN- 'fifrl' ' , , mi -3. .
