Fa ored Students l Freshmen Terri The Freshman cheerleaders in 1975 will never be forgot- ten because they were all tiny, but incredibly enthusiastic girls. Freshman Favorite Terri Malone exemplifies this cheerleader group. Her unbounded energy amazed every- one who knew her. She was a member of F.C.A. and enjoyed horseback riding. Terri liked her first year at N.M. best because she met so many new friends. Fernando Freshman Favorite. Fernando Villafana. was another of the athletes honored at North Mesquite this year. A football player. he was known for his variety of interests. Fernando plans to continue in F.C.A.. hopes to improve his grades. and wants football to stay a part of his life. He is interested in law as a career. Iuniors Ian Zany Ian Duffer was chosen by her classmates to be one ofthe 1975 Iunior Favorites. She was known for her outgoing personality and bright smile. A member of the French Club and Pacesetter Drill Team, she also enjoyed swimming. and dancing and espe- cially meeting people, Ian plans to go to Iunior College in California when she gradu- ates and would like to be an interior decorator. Terry Terry Davis. a very busy young man. was chosen as lan's count- erpart. A member of the Student Council. Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life and F.H.A., he also actively participates in functions at his church. He played football this year and would like to be a coach someday. When asked his reaction to being elected. he said he was shocked and added that he liked school and thought this year was the best.

Sophomores Mary A lover of big dogs. Mary Garner. sophomore favorite. was really shocked when she was elected. She was absent on the day that the announcement of the favorites was made, and someone ealled at her home to tell her she had been elected. Mary was President of the Freshman elass. member of the F.C.A., and a cheerleader. Tony Sophomore Tony Hollifield was ehosen by his class as favor- ite in 1975, His enthusiasm for sehool aetivities was the main reason for his suczeess. He played football and basketball and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He likes to spend his time with his friends from sehool fishing or enjoy- ing pro sports, Classes Honor Seniors Ianioe Senior Favorite Ianioe lxzarelli was undoubtedly reeog- nized for her friendliness. Her interest in everyone of all grades was contagious. She was an active member of the FCA and a lieutenant in the Paeesetters. Somehow she found time to work as an offieer in the Future Homemakers of America and to be involved with her Churchs work. Mike Anyone knowing Senior Favorite Mike Gideon remem- bers most his enthusiasm for football. Mike's interest in sports influenced all his activities. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and spent much of his free time hunting. fishing or water skiing. Mike's eooperative nature and sincere manner made him well-liked by faculty and students both.

The vivacious assistant principal was interested in the well-being and prosperity of every student, faculty member or administrator. lust a few of this busy man's duties at North Mesquite were calling substitute teachers. making those unforgettable 8:25 a.in. announcements. handling textbook business, and being an all-around helpful guy. Many seniors showed thanks to Mr. McCoy for helping them get early dismiss- als and taking care of absences.
