Fi e Queens Honored l Anna Talented does not adequately doserilie Anna laneeka, Stal- lion Battalion Sweetheart lor1974-75. Drama was a main inter- est. Anna held many parts in produetions as an aotive mem- ber of the Tliespian and Drama Clubs. Singing was a favorite pastime which helped Anna become a part of the A cappella Choir. A past memher of the Blue Bri- gade and B-Drill, she was also in the N.M. National Honor Society. Kelly Music dominated the life of Kelly Hatfield. the Band Sweet- heart. She was in the Varsity and Stage Bands. Her ability took her to state solo oontest. ller other maior interest was choir and she partieipated in A cappella Choir with surzoess. Kelly maintained good grades also and her sweet manner earned respect from everyone. Pam Iunior Pam Baxter was chosen Basketball Sweetheart hy this year's outstanding basketball loam. ller interest in the team and her enthusiasm as a Varsity Cheerleader made her a natu- ral ehoiee. . Pam was aetive in the Girl's F.C.A. and euioyed daneing in -' her alter sehool hours. ller hright smile always brought happi- ness to others, R

Mary Powell, was chosen hy the 74-75 Stallions to he their Football Sweetheart. Mary's interest in sports played an important part of her participation in many school activities as a three-year cheerleader. High achievement in her academic studies secured her a place in the National Honor Society for two years. Her junior year she presided as trea- surer and as a senior she was vice-president. She appeared regularly on the North Mesquite Honor Roll. Mary's out-going personality carried her to he a memher ot' the Future Teachers of America, Presi- dent and Treasurer of the Cirl's Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a two-year memher of the FHA cluh. She was also known for her active interest in karate, this activity earned her several awards. Pam All-around husy, funny, friendly, attractive, and enthusiastic was senior Pam Potter. Chosen hy the entire student hody to he the fourth Homecoming Queen for North Mesquite, Pam displayed her interests in the success of this school hy heing a very active girl. She was a two-year memher ofthe Student Council, Blue Brigade, and Girl's Fellow- ship of Christian Athletes. She represented N.M.H.S. as a cheerleader for four years. Pam received many honors while attending high school including being elected All School Favorite two years in a row and heing Freshman Favorite in 1971. Her leadership among others helped her to he elected a class officer for three years also.

Sophomores Mary A lover of big dogs. Mary Garner. sophomore favorite. was really shocked when she was elected. She was absent on the day that the announcement of the favorites was made, and someone ealled at her home to tell her she had been elected. Mary was President of the Freshman elass. member of the F.C.A., and a cheerleader. Tony Sophomore Tony Hollifield was ehosen by his class as favor- ite in 1975, His enthusiasm for sehool aetivities was the main reason for his suczeess. He played football and basketball and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He likes to spend his time with his friends from sehool fishing or enjoy- ing pro sports, Classes Honor Seniors Ianioe Senior Favorite Ianioe lxzarelli was undoubtedly reeog- nized for her friendliness. Her interest in everyone of all grades was contagious. She was an active member of the FCA and a lieutenant in the Paeesetters. Somehow she found time to work as an offieer in the Future Homemakers of America and to be involved with her Churchs work. Mike Anyone knowing Senior Favorite Mike Gideon remem- bers most his enthusiasm for football. Mike's interest in sports influenced all his activities. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and spent much of his free time hunting. fishing or water skiing. Mike's eooperative nature and sincere manner made him well-liked by faculty and students both.
