X Mwu5fGmmmfClw6ew ' Being chosen as this year's salutatorian is just one of the many achievements of Mark Germer. He ranked in the school with 78.5 grade points. Mark is president of the Latin Club, Battalion Commander of the ROTC, and a member of the Student Coun- cil, National Honor Society, and Science Club. He was a National Merit Scholarship finalist and took first place in the Texas Latin Convention for Derivatives and also won first place in the Science UIL Invitational meet. Optimist award Winner Mark enjoys foreign cars. He likes everything from classical to hillbilly music. Mark plans to attend the University of Texas and major in math and science. From there he hopes to enter a medical school and work toward the goal of becoming a doctor. l A : Q I- N 5 I' . 1

MMUAWUWRQUA5 Numbw One With 81.5 grade points Mike Anna received the honor of being this year's Valedictorian. The easygoing senior maintained an A average in all his courses. Mike was in the National Honor Society, Number Sense, was last year's Latin Club treasurer and is in the Science Club. He won second place in the district UIL meet in Number Sense, and has many trophies at home for his Number Sense skill. Ranking in the top ten students for Derivatives in the Latin State Convention is another of Mike's achieve- ments. Playing golf and chess are a few of the many interests of the busy senior. The University of Texas at Arlington is the school Mike has chosen to attend for the four or five years it takes to become an electrical engineer. Mike Anna receives his Valedictorian Decree and a congratulating handshake from Assistant Principal James McCoy at the Awards Assembly on May 23. qv!
