CURRICULAR Courses Offered Are Varied The Vocational Department is widespread in offerings. Students have a choice of nearly a dozen sub- jects. Mechanical drawing and ln- dustrial Art are good beginning courses for the architect, draftsman, and the like. Auto mechanics is a practical course providing know- ledge for keeping one's car as well as forearningone'slivelihood.TheD.E. and l.C.T. classes provide the student-job-training classes while holding a job. Sometimes girls along with the young men find horticulture a fascinating subject. Some related courses, home economics and child care, are studied by both young men and women. 1. 1 Students Learn Job Skills Commercial courses offer an in- troduction into the business world. Preparation for jobs after graduation or continued study in college is made. Courses offered as electives include bookkeeping, keypunch, computer, shorthand, typing and secretarial practice. 1.
