elaoo of '66 cpreoento 'flue eireoo' Cne of the many Spring highlights was the Senior Play, The Heiress by Ruth and Augustus Goetz. With a cast of nine members it was presented the evening of March 18th. The two-act play was directed by Miss Donna Wasson and her assistant Elaine Anderson. The play was the story of a retiring young heiress, portrayed by Carolyn Davison, whose chance to marry was blocked by her father, played by Steve Kilpatrick, an obstinate gentleman who believed the young man in question, characterized by Randy Shireman, was infatuated with the inher- itance and not the heiress. With a magnificent set, designed bythe Art Classes under the direction of Mrs. Searcy Thompson, and a superb cast, the play was acclaimed by all who saw it. The entire cast is shown before the curtain rises and lights go down. rs Steve Kilpartick as Dr. Sloper humiliates Catherine, his daughter, by telling her to be more like her mother. Thoughts of Graduation and the awaiting world invigorate the Seniors, While the Sophomores and juniors are compelled only by the promise of the rollicking carefree days of leisure. Finally, books are laid to rest in temporary graves of dust, but the Wild- cats take memories of Wildcat Hill as they scatter in the winds.
