.lat 706'fldltd We, the May class of nineteen hundred and fifty- nine, realizing that we must soon don a dignified air and depart as North Lima graduates, feel this to be an opportune occasion to draw up our last will and testament. Not because we particularly desire to part with these treasured gifts, do we bestow them upon someone else, but because we have acquired a few characteristics which, if passed on and enlarged upon, will be of some benefit to our Alma Mater. To Mr. Snapp, our splendid superintendent and friend, we leave a great appreciation for the oppor- tunities he has opened for us and a great love and respect which have grown from our educational part- nership. We grant those sympathetic teachers-who have been instrumental in graduating us-the privilege of claiming all honors bestowed upon us after we enter the cruel world. Not because we wish to part with him, but because circumstances insist, we leave to the class of 1960 a faithful sponsor, Mr. Ward, who has an oversupply of kindness for all struggling seniors. To the class of 1960 we do assign our share of food and many well-fought-for places in the cafeteria line. On this twenty-ninth day of May, we do hereby bequeath the following of our most treasured posses- sions to the underclassmen. JERRY GROSSEN bequeaths to ED PERRY the power to make all fair dames' hearts flutter when he approaches. BEA ROUSE, the budding poet of our class, wills to the great lover of poetry, KEITH ARMENTROUT, her exceptional poetic talent. JIM KURTZ leaves his headaches as editor of the Lima Lite and a box of aspirin to SANDY OSTERLING. DICK DILLON leaves a lot of uncaught-up-sleep to JIM BROWN. DARLA SMITH wills her quiet ways to CAROL BREGAR. To JON CULP, JIM CON- NAUGHTON leaves his rich tenor tones. ROGER SCHLINDER wills his fine?? penmanship to VINCE MELLOTT so that Mrs. Desimone will not cramp her smile trying to decipher his papers. LA UNA RICHARDS bequeaths her earrings to CAROLYN WHITE to use in marble contests. BILL GASSER leaves his arguing ability and his nickname of Fudge to BOB McCLAIN. To GARY MAN- CHESTER, JUDY MACK and FRANK ZAGOTTI will their love of pizza. DELMAR HOUSER wills his basketball skill to JOHN JAMES to enable him to be a varsity star in the future. DON SEIDNER leaves his cleverness on the basketball floor at pivoting to GEORGE KUGLER for the purpose of dodging slams and bangs thrown at him by Mr. Lucas in government class. MARY LOU JONES wills her unusual last name to anyone who desires it. To RHODA ZOOK, VALERA WEAVER bequeaths her vocal cords for screaming. LEE MOORE leaves to JERRY HOOVER his ability to drive with one hand. LAURA REED wills her neatness and her French Horn to DELORES JENKINS. Our heap big yell leaders, CAROL Mc- GINNIS and RUTH ANN SIGLE leave their sturdy lungs and pep to BARBARA ROBERTSON. To DON SWOPE, WARD BROOKE leaves one-half can of Prince Albert and also his corn-cob pipe. LEONARD HUF FMAN wills his outstanding courage in doing experiments to EDDIE PFAU. To DAVE TILTON, HARRY ARKWRIGHT leaves part of his Ford--the rattle. JOHN MCGREGOR wills his ability as an eraser thrower and his gift of gab to RON- NIE PETERS. JANET THORNTON bequeaths her delightful giggle to LYNN GLASSFORD. We are sure it will be duly appreciated. MARGARET Mc- MEANS leaves to MARCIA MacFARLEND, her height. MARYBELLE MILLS wills her many male admirers to VIRGINIA WEBER. DEANNA MEL- LOTT bequeaths her hard-earned detentions to PHYLLIS PLUMMER. BEVERLY scHLossER wish- es CAROL PRICE lots of married bliss. To BEVERLY KOONSE, MARY VANPELT wills her artistic talents. DAWN WHITFIELD gives her famous wise- cracks and clever sayings to SHELIA HARSHMAN. BARBARA LAWLESS leaves her dislike for going to physical education class to PAT CASON. NANCY FIRESTONE flecks a bit of dust off her millon dollar personality and wills it to DENNIS KLINE. The glorious golden locks that have belonged to BONNIE WILHELM are to become the possession of RUTH MORSE, since Ruth is tired of being a brunette. JULIS DATSON leaves her agility as a dancer to BARBARS QUINBY. SHIRLEY VITKO leaves five packages of Spearmint Gum to DON MARINELLI. Directions are: one stick before each class. MERLE BOWEN wills his spontaneous blush to ROGER ALCORN. THELMA COLER and EILEEN WORK bequeath all the trials and tribulations of shorthand transcription to JANET NICHOLS. JEAN ORR wills her cute mannerisms to JEAN MacFARLAND. LORETTA GROSSEN graciously bestows upon JULIE HALL her many cheerful Howdys. To JIM HETRIC, ED JAMES leaves his quiet and bashful disposition. JIM BLAKE leaves his fondness??? of economics class to GEORGE NOULETT. Now that we have given all that we have to give, and we prepare to depart, let us .be mindful of our obligations to our Alma Mater and let us profit by the lessons learned here. Let us always keep uppermost in our thoughts the ideals of North Lima.
