This year ' s football team carried a charisma of deter- mination and strength. Success was on their minds at the start of each game as they prepared themselves both mentally and physically for their encounterments. Defeat never hindered their vic- torious attitude. Rain or shine, they gave it their all and finished up the season with a 4-4 record. Of course the two heartbreaking losses to LaVille and Fairfield will always be remembered. Though the scoreboard contradicted, Liberty fans knew who the victory belonged to. At the end of the season. Coach Clarke was heard saying he wouldn ' t trade the guys for anything, and that sufficiently summed up the feeling of everyone at Liberty High. The Short And Tall Of Football M -;i M ■. Four years now, pushing thru these doors, waiting for this day And now it ' s here. Graduation, I never thought it would come All those tests, all that studying. I didn ' t think I could make it And am I ever glad it ' s done. (But are you really?) Of course I am, it was such a drag Nothing happened. (Nothing happened?) Sure, nothing happened. Oh, yeah, there was the time I got an award for football, but big deal. (Yeah, big deal. And how about when you made the tie- breaking run in base- ball?) Whoopee (And all the Homecomings, the times you and your friends were tardy and you got stuck in the detention room, but you didn ' t care you still had a blast?) Yeah (And the time you were the only kid in the class that got 100%) Hey, that ' s right (Do you really mean it when you say you want to leave? Don ' t you feel a little bit sad?) Yeah, but I can ' t do anything about it. I ' ve graduated; it ' s done and over with. (Yeah, I guess it is) I don ' t want to leave. (I know ) Hey- don ' t push me out. 116
