On September 2, the halls of North Lamar awoke with new life. Upperclassmen scuttled about, happy to see old friends and teachers, while Freshmen tediously studied schedules and desperately searched for the right rooms. Back into the regular routine, North Lamar saw class meetings, volleyball, club meetings, school pictures, football games, and of course classes. Constantly on the move, North Lamar underwent many changes during September, for instance, students and faculty welcomed Mr. James Dawson as the new high school principal, and Seniors no longer had to arrive at 6 A.M. for the privilege of parking on the front parking lot because each one randomly drew for an assigned space. All changes, however, were not happy ones, as everyone was faced with the death of a beloved friend, Tony Johnson.
