Stopped Short: Curlese Webb 13205 is stopped short of a first down in the football game with Bonham. Candi Carico ls Homecoming Queen September was full of activities for both students and faculty at North Lamar. Football season opened and along with it marching season for the band, cheers for the cheerleaders, and our first pep rallies which had to be held at the Football Field due to the un- finished gym floor. Volleyball season also began in September. Homecoming proved to be the most hectic time of the month. This year, more clubs decorated outside, so more people could see the decorations besides the students. Homecoming Queen Nominees were Eva Ellis, Candi Carico, and Vicki Chapman. Prizes were given to winners of decorating contests. Homecoming football game proved to be a bit of a disappointment. Panthers were narrowly defeated by Hooks with a 7-6 loss. During half time activities, Candi Carico was crowned Homecoming Queen by Brenda Skeen. The an- nual Homecoming Dance followed the game. Also in September, Senior pictures were made, Alabama and Sylvia Concerts were held, and students lost class time due to a bomb scare. Mr. Tommy Eads also got married in September. tMiddIe Leftj Ready for the Show!
