6 - March is .. M Pantherettes Cto to State Tournament A first for North Lamar! For the first time ever, the Pantherettes competed in basketball past the Bi-District level. In Bi-District, the Pantherettes played Pittsburg and defeated them 48-40. At the Regional Tournament, the opponents were Whitehouse and Northwest. Both games were wrapped up with scores of 44-40. The State Basketball Tournament was held in Austin. In the first round of the tournament, the Pantherettes were defeated by Hayes Consolidated with a score of 42-36. Career Day was held for students to attend sessions with speakers in different fields to help them decide their future professions. Baseball and track season got under way as winter sports came to an end. fTop Lefty Maiorelle?
