Volleyball Team Wins Bi District November brought the end of football season and advancement to regional play for the volleyball team after they defeated New Boston in Bi-District. After defeating Lake Worth in the regional tournament, the girls were defeated by Van. Basketball season also came with November. Annual bonfire was held the night before the Prairi- land football game. This was a change from the tradi- tional Homecoming Bonfire, and it was considered a huge success. College night was held for all juniors and Seniors who were interested in attending college. Representa- tives from several colleges and universities were on hand to assist students in their plans. The band attended marching contests in Texarkana, which was a first for the band. Members received a rating of three for their performance. Band Marches in Christmas Parade December was filled with Christmas related activi- ties. Christmas parties and ringing bells for the Salvation Army filled after school hours for members of many clubs. Sammy Cunningham entertained student body with his magic, and the band and combined choirs pre- sented a concert of winter and Christmas music. Band participated in the Paris Christmas Parade. Classes were disrupted in order for club pictures to be taken. Also the junior High Powderpuff game was finally played, and the eighth grade defeated the sev- enth grade. Semester exams were given tbe last two days before school was dismissed for the Christmas holidays. Students who were exempt from exams enjoyed a few extra days off for Christmas. 28 December .Jw i ft fi' we W S. ... lTop Righty Two Points!
