Seniors Win Powderpuff Game tLeftl Senior Cheerleaders: Senior Powderpuff Cheerleaders are Boom Boom fTommy Davidsonl, Bernadine Cleavage Uon lamesl, luanita Fri- jole fDoug Fousel and lDavid Birdsongl. Uvliddle Rightl Returning the Volleyball: Denise Bailey returns a serve as W , teammates look on. Homecoming was the main event in the month of October. Decorating for Home- coming allowed students to miss a day of classes to prepare halls for exes to tour. Each club had a portion of the hall and building to decorate. Beta Club and Tri-Hi-Y decorated the lunior High Gym where the dance was to be. Homecoming Day was a normal day until the hour-long pep rally was held that after- noon. Homecoming Queen nominees Brenda Skeen, Rochelle Webb, and Michele Darnell were introduced and stu- dents cast their votes. Prizes were awarded to winners of decorating contests. Football players presented fans a Home- coming victory against Trinity Christian lsy a score of 45-12. During half time activities, Brenda Skeen was crowned Homecoming B at w s Queen by lana Graves. Kartridge Korner provided music for the dance following the game. Also in October, lunior and Senior girls played the annual Powderpuff game, and Seniors won by a score of 32-0. Football and Volleyball teams continued their sea- sons. lTop Rightl Powderpuff Practice: Seniors Tammy Holsenbeck, Lori Stephens, Tammy Harris, Lisa McAllister, Breanna Vanderburg, and Kelly McAllister practice for the big game. fBottom Rightl luniors Defeated: lunior Angela Moffitt UMD tries to score against Seniors who defeated luniors 32-0. 24 - October

Volleyball Team Wins Bi District November brought the end of football season and advancement to regional play for the volleyball team after they defeated New Boston in Bi-District. After defeating Lake Worth in the regional tournament, the girls were defeated by Van. Basketball season also came with November. Annual bonfire was held the night before the Prairi- land football game. This was a change from the tradi- tional Homecoming Bonfire, and it was considered a huge success. College night was held for all juniors and Seniors who were interested in attending college. Representa- tives from several colleges and universities were on hand to assist students in their plans. The band attended marching contests in Texarkana, which was a first for the band. Members received a rating of three for their performance. On the day before Thanksgiving, the lunior High Powderpuff Came was cancelled due to the first snow of the season. tTopl Bonfire: Unidentified students gaze at the bonfire prior to the Prairiland football game tlviiddlej Hillbilly Day!
