Kelly Weddle, Renee Van Hooser Attend Girls' State Summer months were filled with the usual gamut of camps for organiza- tions such as Majorettes, Cheerleaders, Flag Corps Members, and Drum Majors. Members of these organizations attended their respective camps in order to prepare for the coming fall. V Picnics, swimming, skiing, and camping provided entertainment on the long, hot summer days. Other students endured the record-breaking heat by work- ing or just resting. A new concession stand was built on the visitor's side of the football field, and restroom facilities were also added to them. Also, a sign was laced at the south end of the field to identify it as the home of the Pantliers, and to accredit them for their various championships. The high school gym was also painted in the school colors of blue and gold. Band practice and football practice took up many of the summer hours for students involved in these activities.
