8 - April Bobby Fortner is Elected First Male Yell Leader Many students were absent from school during the spring as they participated in district and regional sports and U.I.L. events. Students were also occupied with the various tryouts, conventions, and banquets. For the first time in the history of North Lamar, a boy was chosen as Varsity Cheerleader when Bobby Fortner won the honor, The library held a book fair for students, and the science classes participated in the fifth annual science fair which was held in the gym. Some North Lamar Students participated in the Annual lunior Livestock show which was held at the fairgrounds. Tryouts and rehearsals were also held for the Senior Play, Here Come the Brides which was to be presented later in May.
