, l .- . fTopJ First NL flag corps to attend camp: Kim Holsenbeck, Elgie Anderson, Tina Starks, Jami Ford, Arlecia Dangerfield, Loretta Cooper, and Rhonda Smith make up the flag corps members who sweated out the entire week at the ETSU Summer Flag Corps Camp. lBottomj About to start a hard week: Majorettes Shannon Armstrong, Deanna Wall, and Tammy Glover just arrived at majorette camp at Kilgore Junior College and are putting away their things as they prepare themselves for a week of hard work learning routines. Summer Brings Rest for Some, Work tor Others Summer vacation meant many different things to differ- ent people. For some it was the traditional swimming, camping, and vacationing with their families, but for many it was every bit as busy-as school time. Many students had summer jobs that took up much of their time, and there was also the group of fifteen-year- olds who had daily drivers' ed instruction for two weeks. Others, such as the majorettes, drum major, varsity cheerleaders, and flag corps had week-long summer camps to attend so that when school and football season started in the fall, they would be fully prepared to carry out their duties. For just about everyone, though, summer was a time to relax a little, reflect on the past school year, and prepare themselves for the coming one. ,.:-tg., ., , . 1 -.- : .': .. i7 : r -1,2-...l .
