Approximately one ton of rubber, three tons of paper, and four or five tons of iron were collected. In the early part of the school year, a Victory Bull was secured from the American Jersey Breeders Association, and Kenneth Rasumssen, president, brought it back from Olympia, to be kept in the south end of the county. Later, three Purebred Pigs were secured from Sears, Roebuck and Company. At the present time, Jim Forbes has one of the sows, and Bill Wheeler has a sow and a boar. Other activities carried out during the year were testing soil for the 'farmers in the north end of the county, and donating of money for drapes at the state convention in Pullman. The boys are having larger and better projects this year, due to a new system, which allows them extra points, giving them better grades and more credits. Because of transportation facilities, the usual judging contest could not be held, but a similar one is to be held at school by the members of the organ- ization. Officers for the year were: Kenneth Rasmussen, president, Bill Wheeler, vice president, Bill Bloom, secretary first semester, Carl Jensen, secretary second semester, Ernest Tuomi, treasurer, and Dick Weiss, reporter.
