We were relentless in our quest for all that high school had to offer. In our freshman year with Douglas Harlan as president, our class demonstrated its wit and leadership by taking first prize in the Student Council talent assembly. We began to display our athletic progress during our sophomore year. Keith Blann lettered in basketball, Bill Wilson, Bill McClanahan, and Walter Collins lettered in track, Iunior Workman and Dick Wolverton earned their K'N's in baseball. . The next year, Bill Kephart, Murl Talbott, Dean Konomos, Gene Elliott, Bill Wilson, Richard Edmonds, Dick Wolverton, Bill McClanahan, and Keith Blann were lettermen in football. Murl Talbott was at the helm of the junior class that presented A Date with Iudy' for their class play and entertained the seniors so successfully with a prom set in a background of knights, ladies and feudal pomp. As a reward for their performances in A Date with Iu dyf' Elaine Green, Dean Konomos, Gene Elliott, Pat Fuson, and Mina IaneiReed were elected to membership in Masque and Gavel. Ioyce Anne Koch and Anita McPike were members of the debate teams that were another source of pride for our school. This year . . .
