Dear Diary, Today 1 walked out of school for the last time as a North Junior High student. As I took a final walk through the halls, I peered down the corridors and into classrooms; each held many memories. It’s only a building, I told myself, but it’s really more than that. It’s a place where 1 first dissected a frog, and where I began to plan for my future. 1 have spent over half of the past three years in this one building. Most importantly. North Junior High was a place where I learned and changed. Walking in the first day of 7th grade, I didn’t have the faintest idea of what was in store for me. 1 was fresh out of elementary school where you wore snowpants to school and played kickball during recess. Now, as 1 look back on my year as a 9th grader, I see how much more at home 1 am here. As the seniors” we dominated a whole intersection” of the hallway (not to mention the underclassmen.) We were met with new challenges and responsibilities - picking our own electives, going to Washington, D.C., and even going “on the job for a day. As my classmates and I graduate from North Junior High, we look ahead to the undiscovered territory that awaits us - Hopkins High School. Good luck to the class of ’86!
