999999 99999 999999 1981-82 As the freshman of NJH approach their high school years, we look back upon the times we had in junior high. It appears that we struggled through hard times, such as trying to win the respect of seventh and eighth graders as well as teachers. In 9th grade, we realized that dances weren’t so bad. We got a chance to choose our own electives, and we got to student assist, which was a very different opportunity. We also got a chance to look at the job opportunities that are available to us in the future. In our junior high years, we became very close. It was nice to be able to know everyone in your grade. Now, as we are moving on to either Lindbergh or Eisenhower, we’ll have to start all over again, being the “little sophomores” in high school. Although leaving North, friendships will never fade. by JoAnna Smeby and Lisa Nathanson 999999 99999
