i l l l Mrs. Alsbury is secretary to the Com- munication Skills Department. This job includes checking innumerable tests,sub- stituting for absent faculty members and administering and correcting qualifying themes. She also aids Mrs. Romig by correcting world literature papers. Her duties, however, do not end there. She might be found administering make-up tests for any department, or helping stu- dents with that rough part in themes and write-ups. Mrs. Alsbury is indeed an indispensable person to faculty and student body alike. We wish to extend our extreme gratitude for her many ser- vices. Pictured right are Mrs. l-l. Dolter, Barbara Tyler, Mrs. E. Thorpe and Dorothy Fagerle, who run the J.C. snack bar. The snack bar has been open since November of l956, un- der the supervision of Mrs. Dolter, For the warm food, the nickel cup of coffee to keep ,us running, and the cheerful smiles, we wish to thank these ladies. Norm Stilwell and Maurice Miller are the unsung heroes of MCJC. While keeping our college clean is their official duty, keeping the students happy also keeps them pretty busy. Norm is often found helping out on annual staff, or with confused student prob- lems anywhere in the buliding. Maury's 7:l5 arrival and lighting of the building is the number one indication that another day at MCJC is well under way.
