OARD OF EDUCATIO Miss Betty liclcberg, competent sec- retary of the .Xdministrative offices, helped to make our school operate efficiently. .Xlthouigh kept busy mak- ing daily announcement sheets, taking dictation. and managing funds, she always had time to help students. Miss lfckberg displayed her interest in school activities by helping' In chap- erone representatives of our publica- tions' stads on their trip to Cleveland. The assistance and friendliness of Nliss lfckberg has been appreciated by everyone at North Huntingdon. 1 , - North Huntingdon Township is for- tunate in having a Board of liducation comprised of men who are interested in the welfare of its high school stu- dents. The Board this past year has been responsible for decided improve- ments in our school program. ln the athletic department four thou- sand dollars Was spent to provide bleachers for our football held. Trans- portation for the Band and Forensic League was provided by a Board eager to give the students uf North Hunt- inlgdon advantages of a well-rounded school life. They also supported plans that representatives ot' our publica- tions' staffs made to attend the N. S. l'. A. Convention in Cleveland. An- other note-worthy a d d i tio n to our school was the purchase of up-to-date encyelopedias as well as other new books for the library. This intensified program has result- ed in the prosperous operation of an independent North Huntingdon Town- ship lligh School.
