They are charged with the responsibility of managing the educational affairs of the district. They may delegate some if their duties. but the primary responsibility for the success or failure of the educational program rests with them. They make or ap- prove all major policies regarding the opera- tion of the school. The vote of the people granted ap- proval to proceed with the creation of a regional high school district. and authority to provide funds by taxation and a bond issue. The fultillment of these plans was made pos- sible only by the interested, unselhsh and co- operative etforts of the members of the Board of liducation. Some members of the present 0F EDUCATION Board haye been associated mth this regional project since its inception. Others Came on the scene later but all have contributed much in time effort and thought in bringing the plans to '1 successful completion. These con- tributions were frequently made at much per- sonal sacritice. The extent and quality of the educa- tional program. the physical equipment avail- able and the number and training of the profes- sional staff all reflect the attitude and philos- ophy of the Board of Education. lYe. the present students of North Hun- terdon Regional High School, feel that the Board has provided us with opportunities for education and personal growth that ranks with the best. lYe are indeed fortunate that our board has so ably performed the duties with which it is charged.
