IL There is among the faculty of North High School a gentleman to whom many successes have come, He is an ordained member of the clergy and very shortly he will receive his degree as Doctor of Education. As head swimming coach and as assistant football and baseball coach here at North, he has guided many young men, not only toward becoming better athletes, but more important, toward developing into better men, He no longer sponsors the Viking, but, during his tenure in this position, he was instrumental in creating an award-winning publication. There may be better teachers than this man, there may be better coaches, there may be better ministers, lt cannot be denied, however, that as an individual, he is extraordinary. Hundreds of students have benefited from his friendly counsel. His influence has been constructive and enduring. His name is EDWARD LINDELL. lt is to him that the l96O Viking is gratefully dedicated. 4 G . i z 'Q I x 2 J' 5,5 4 3 2 Q2 ,ig , g, if ,ifi 4 X E 1 as 9 9 S x. 5 4 i 2 3 fx , X ! 4 3, 4 Sf v I J I 4 i 4 1 . x 1 1 . 1 i N x C s I , Y t 9 V X v i 1 Q 1 5 1 X 1 . 1 x 1 A 1 5 f 4 1 1 Q 1 C l:!lClJI.iY ARTHUR M. Key Club strongly stresses the personal development of its individual members and is much involved with its theme for 1960 of Seek Individual Excellence. It is, however, essentially and fundamentally a service organ- ization. Each year an international and a district Key Club convention is held, and this particular club sends delegates to both important gather- ings.
