Langua e Arts Courses Grow Because this is the first year that seniors were required to take English, the English teach- ers were really busy. Sophomores read and studied The Yearling, juniors struggled with research Themes and A Tale of Two Cities, and seniors studied English composition, college reading, and English and world literature. Beginning iournalists wrote and wrote and wrote, advanced journalists rushed to meet news- paper deadlines, and the TOWER Staff organized the yearbook. High school students of today had a chance to delve into science more than ever before. For the laboratory science required for graduation, students chose from biology, chemistry, geology, physics and physiology.
