General office secretary, Mrs. Hazel Fisher, attended to many details in the office including the compiling of data, records of the students and activities in the past year at North. tardy records. MRS. HAZEL FISHER Miss Roma Iune Burt, secre- tary to the principal, spent her time operating the switch board, taking dictation, preparing and sending out transcripts, as well as typing all letters sent out by Mr. Strange. Sophomores were the chief con cern of Miss A. Ieanette Walter. Her duty was to help them organ- ize their schedules. She also kept accounts of all I.Q. tests given to North students. Mrs. Leone Lawrence had one of the busiest jobs in the office. Along with the minor duties which she completed daily, she was in charge of attendance and The head job of North High School belonged to C. E. Strange. As principal, his work was important to the students as well as to the community. Besides serving as faculty and student adviser, he had an understanding manner which helped MISS A. Perhaps the roughest and toughest job in North High School belonged to Glen K. Hamilton, vice principal. He took care of enrollment problems, class sched- ules, and overenergetic students. He has been interested in all of the activities and in the athletic events especially. Miss Lotta Green, girls, counselor at North, spent much of her time helping and guiding the students with their problems, both in school and in their social lives. MISS LOTTA GREEN GLEN K. HAMILTON Page Fiw Miss Ma r ga r e t Tomlinson, school registrar, spent her time helping new sophomores organ- ize and prepare their schedules for their future years at North. juniors and seniors also needed her advice in lining up credits. MISS RUTH COWLES MISS JANET OXLEY Balancing diets was one of Miss Ianet Oxley's important jobs. Besides being the schools dietitian, she also supervised cooking and baking. MISS MARGARET TOMLINSON Helping to keep the Redskins healthy was the school nurse, Miss Ruth Cowles. Arranging dental check-ups for everyone and tuberculosis tests for the seniors are only two of the many services that she performed.
