CLCDSING It's all over. The '78-'79 school year has finally passed. But where do I start? Remember . . . Remember . . . Remember . . . How about those toga parties, senior follies, sub-zero football games, Home- coming picnic and dance, before and after games and dances, kegs, spray painting the light box, the teacher-pa- trolled lunchroom, second period APE class, all the good times at McDonald's, last day of school, every Friday and Saturday night, Prom . . . This year's book attempts to recapture what soon will become the Gooo ol' Day's for many. I hope that within the pages of this year's Polaris you can re- member and possibly re-live, the many special moments of high school. I wfuld like to thank several special people, many not even on the Polaris staff, who put a lot of time and effort into publishing this book. Many thanks to: The advisors, Ms. Lanning and Mr. Burow, for their patience and cooperation. Mr. Jacobson at American Yearbook Company. Jerry Galas at the Chamber of Commerce for his cooperation with the Siouxperland logo. Mrs. Bev Hinds and Lynne Hinds for their special concern and help. And non-staff photographers Mark Shechet, D'Lisa McKenzie, Mr. Wigand, and Lynne Hinds, who donated many pictures. Working on the Polaris this year has been a real experience. I hope we have put together a book which holds memo- ries for everyone. Enjoy those memo- ries! Kelli Winegardner Editor
