CARLTON VVOLF Schaalp ' Carlton is well known for his wholehearted co' operation in school activities. He was especially active in football and basketball, and in 1938 he won the Stubenrauch Trophy in athletics. He was a member of various organizations such as the National Honor So- ciety of which he was president, the Hi-Y Club of which he was treasurer, and the Booster Club. As president he carried the responsibility of guiding the student government through its formative year. He made possible many of the social functions of North High. Jack Burrows has been active in many fields. He was a letterman in football and a cheerleader on the sidelines. His dramatic talents were evidenced in the school carnival and the senior class play. Harriet Luehrs has, to her credit, a good combination of scholastic and athletic achieve- Pagf' Tn,::rrzfy-T150 ments. ln her senior year she won a scholar- ship in the Northwest 'Territory Contest. She was president of the Girls' Recreation Asso- ciation, and head cheer leader on the first squad. lVilliam Ribbens is best known for his mathematical aspirations. He took every available course in mathematics and belonged to the Advanced lVIath Club. When not struggling with numerical riddles he enjoyed singing in the chorus.
