ELENA BONAU LAWRENCE STREYFELLER Santa Clara Teachers College Drake, B.A. Drake, B.A. Mrs. Davidson holds class discussion in German. Many students think that mathematics and foreign langucges are very limited in their usefulness today. Math ' s uses in our society are countless though. Geometry may be used by an architect in finding volumes, floor areas, and the measurement of certain angles. Algebra is used extensively in electronics, and engineering as well as many other fields. Furthermore, trigo- nometry is used from astronomy to surveying. Basic mathematics is used by everyone throughout the world in counting, calculation of debts and many more. Foreign languages are simply used for conversation between two people of different countries. It provides for education of other lands, their people, and their customs. It also helps students meet their college requirements. VERNON BLY EUGENE WORDEN Luther College, B.A. Drake, B.A. Kansas State, M.S. Graduate Study: Columbia, Graduate Study: S.U.I., I.S.U.
