ine rrtd The individual is only creative when given an outlet for his creativity. You, dear North, have given us, the students, such an opportunity through the fall play, The Man Who Came to Dinner, the spring musical, Bye Bye Birdie, the band concerts, and the music festivals. Along ivith these and the opportunity to work for the ORACLE and the POLAR BEAR, you have given us chances for fun, enthusiasm, relax- tion, laughter, and sincere individual effort. Because you have given us these opportunities, dear North . . . We have a love for you that will never die.

The Man Who Came to Dinner, North ' s fall play which was presented November 5 and 6, was a comedy by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman. The play centered around Sheridan Whiteside, who having dined at the home of the Stanleys, slips on their doorstep, breaking his hip. A turbulent six weeks of confinement follows. A phone bill of $784 and a library full of penguins are but a few of the odd situations encountered. Pictured above is Sheridan Whiteside (Dave Worden) and Professor Metz (Eddie Olson). What in the world, may I ask, was that! inquires Dave Worden of Valerie Pugh as Candy Anderson glides out of the room.
