Through the use of mathematics, stu- dents are given a broad base upon which they can place science and math courses. This year the Language Lab was in full use. fivrtli a1nA language Zabratory This was an important year for the language department because of the installation of the new language laboratory. The lab is equipped with 36 listening booths, l8 of which have tape recorders. Students can speak with the teacher simply by pressing a button. French, Latin, and Spanish classes all take advantage ot this new facility. By using the language lab, it is easier tor students to learn the art of word pronunciation. Also, through language classes students become more familiar with other peoples ot the world and their customs. The purpose was to im- prove the scores on the physical aptitude tests which every boy is required to take. Physical education classes, both boys and girls, are required to participate in various activities in order to develop them both physically and emotionally.
