Serving ably as principal of North High School is Dr. Robert R. Denny. Dr. Denny combines his qualities of leadership with an acceptance of responsibility to continue to make North an outstanding school. Widely recognized as an expert on educa- tion, Dr. Denny has written a number of articles on the subject. He puts this knowl- edge to a practical advantage, however, here at North. North students feel a great deal of admira- tion and respect toward Dr. Denny; yet he is also recognized as a friend. This is the highest tribute which students may pay their principal. This year the School Board helped the parking problem in the Des Moines high schools. A regulation was passed to limit the number of students eligible to drive to school. The School Board has many other duties concerning the administration of the Des Moines schools, and they have done an excellent job in performing these duties.
