M iss Dorothy Preston Although English has been her main field of work, Miss Preston has at times been involved in teaching Latin, Civics, Typing, Sewing, Music, Senior Prob- lems, and journalism. She has produced class plays, a newspaper and yearbook and has been supervisor of the rifle club. She has her B. S. degree from Western College and M. Ed. from Kent State University and has studied at the University of Akron, University of Cincinnati, and Columbia University. Mr. George Kidder This is the last year before retirement for Mr. Kidder, our assistant principal. Mr. Kidder has been with North many memorable years and has assisted three principals during his service. We give our sincere gratitude to Mr. Kidder for all he has done for North High School

Alf. Forest Hawk A new addition to North this year is our principal, Mr. Hawk, who does his utmost to make North the finest school in Akron. Although this is his first year at North, he has Won the admiration of the student body. Mr. Earl Bona? This year We have a sophomore coun- selor, Mr. Bonar, who has also been chosen as this year's Cheerleading advisor. He has done an outstanding job by planning assemblies, boosting school spirit besides generally helping out students in need. He has a B.S. and a lVl.S. in Ed. from Akron University and has studied at Kent State University. He spent five years in the Army and Air Force, and was a counselor at Ellet for five years. We give our sincere appreciation for all that Mr. Bonar has done.
