North High Band and Urclzestm BAND The band has done an excellent job this past year, as in the past, boosting spirit at pep assemblies and at football games. They play an important part at the games by accompaning the Majorettes with their routines. Each morning throughout the football season the band practices on the side lawn from 7:30 to 9:15 preparing for each weeks game. Under the direction of Mr. Frank Nelson the North High Viking Band has been a great asset to North this year. ORCHESTRA The North High School orchestra is a growing organization that provides the music of the masters for various programs. From the orchestra comes smaller ensembles to play for community groups. In addition to the string section, pictured fbelowj, brass, Woodwinds, and precussion players from the concert band make up the full symphonic orchestra. 80

Our gym dec- orated in orange, white and silver was the setting for the crowning of queen Susie F inkle by Dorothy Lewis, crowner. The court chosen by the senior class, Teri Adamo, Angie Aidala, Linda Carlson, Lois Harb, Sue Mazur, Mickie Minko, Judy Tallon, and Lynn Woods, was assisted by their attendants, the cheerleaders, and majorettes.
