Football - 1962 Completing the season with its best record in l3 years, North High's football team made a spectacular comeback from the season before, when they could salvage only a tie with Central. This year the Mighty Viking squad posted wins over Tallmadge, Cloverleaf, Kenmore, Buchtel and Hower, while dropping very close decisions with East, Garfield, Cuyahoga Falls and Central. There are many hopes for next years gridiron squad with many lettermen returning to action. Mr. Ed Kirkpatrick, head coach, and Mr. Bob Wallace, Bob Hatherill, joe Zampino, Bart Pignatelli, and Gabe De Santis, associate coaches, have done a fine job to successfully earn us four out of five victories. The Co-captains, jim Hooper and Bob Anderson kept the spirit of theteam fired up until the last second of every game. 3 A 68
