Lucy Vang Christine Dee-Serves up another ace The girls' tennis team improved quite a bit in 1987, especially when one realizes that there were only 10 members on the team. Juniors Rene Johnson. Sarah Renner, and freshman Christie Dee, will bring a solid foundation for next years squad. The teams only senior, Ebony Kelly, helped to shape up the squads character of hard work and fighting spirit. Under the coaching of Tony Queen, the team developed a positive team attitude. Mr. Queen is an excellent coach, and the team really appreciates the coaching that he has done. Mr. Queen always says, Conceive, believe, and you will acheive.” With the support of great fans and the dedication of all 13 players this team has achieved great success! The team finished the year with an excellent record of 24 wins and 2 losses Unfortunately, Park Center ended their state tournament bid for the second year in a row, defeating the Polars in the Region Semi-final. 28
