My Mom — It takes a lot of mental strength to work at a nursing home Every New Years I resolve to... Live each day to the fullest If I had a child I'd want to teach him... Wisdom, love and hope the best for them The one thing I cannot stand is... People who use other people Friends that know me in high school think ... I am determined to get what I want My morst irrational fear is... Needles — as in shots I hate them, not the pain the needle! If I could not be a student, I’d love to be a ... Lazy bum in paradise. No worries no troubles no nothing. Kinda like Gilligans Island. Mindy Mincey has been at North since her sophomore year. Mindy says she likes the people here at North. Mindy is not so happy with her education but she says it's her fault. She didn’t push herself hard enough. Mindy is a C average student. She was a cheerleader in her sophomore and senior years. She says it was fun and hard to learn. She’s not a cheerleader this year because of her job. Her job means everything to her and she works extra hard at it. Mr. Abrahamson and Karen Landmark encourage Mindy. Karen Landmark trusted Mindy and gave her freedom to work. Mindy was an office aid for three trimesters. It was Mindy’s favorite class. Mindy started her first job working at Target with the help of Mr. Abrahamson in her sophomore year of high school. This is Mindy's first year in the work program. You have to be a senior to be in the work program. She earns credit for working at Target. Mindy is head cashier at Target. She works 35-40 hours a week. She has quite a job. Mindy interviews, hires, trains, demotes and fires people. She has only trained in one person from North. After graduation Mindy plans to move on to Department Manager. She also plans to attend a business school in 2 years and have Target pay for it. Her goal in life is to manage her own Target store. Mr Abrahamson says it has been a challenging and satisfying experience working with Target to train Mindy. I hope she takes full advantage of her training and opportunities.” 24 J
