Members are registered in the National Archives in Washington D.C. To be accepted into the club, each applicant is evaluated in four areas, leadership, service, character and scholarship. Math Team + Math Team is a body of high school students who have a high interest in mathematics and competition among other high schools in the state. This team is open to anyone who likes math. The team competes against other high schools in our state. Every week there are two one hour practices from 3:00-4:00 p.m. which are usually held on Mon and Wed. In the city division North’s ranking is 2nd and in the state they are 3rd out of 96 high schools. Mikael Smith scored very well individually, he came in 4th in the city division. The club has been involved in creating a program to aid in scheduling student classes, and in competing in regional computer contest. This Club meets once a week for a school year with Mrs. Halcomb and Mrs. Scott. Once a month they try to take a fieldtrip to various places such as: Honeywell, Omni Theatre, Valley Fair, etc. The participants work on year long projects to compete with each other within the group at the end of the year.
