 Audio-Visual Relaxing in a casual gams of card are tha members of the Audio-Visual Crew, LEFT TO RIGHT: Sean Ganley. Bruce Kilpele, Dean Steinbeck. Stanford Hymes. Joel Rein, Mike Carter, Rod Doliver. Crews Aide School Providing the technical portion of auditoriums, the Stage Crew learned all aspects of backstoge operations. Lighting, sets and special effects are a few of the main duties of the crew. Mr. Jack Pixley was the advisor. Audio-Visual aides took on one of the more difficult jobs at North. Debate Debate, coached by Mr. Karl Hansen, helped the underclassman squad toko first placo in tho city. Tho highlights of their year wero an invitational at Mac-alaster, (trophy shown at right) and an overnight meet in Duluth. Tho squad is even more promising for neit year, as they will be losing no seniors and gaining sophomores. PICTURED RIGHT: David Lindstrand, Oavid Gray. Peter Nikiel. Phyllis Colling. Robert Bevard. Eva Gregor, who went to Austria, has shown her slides in language auditoriums in the Junior highs. They have also been working to raise funds for a student noxt year. TRUE AMERICAN NATIVE STUDENTS Advisor MR. BARRY BLACKHAWK FRONT ROW: Frank Saice, Roxsanno Olson. Micheal Percy. Ken Tailor. Secretary Betty Green. BACK ROW: Gary Lustier, Don Hubank. Frank Robertson. Frank Regguiniti, Ploreen Thomas. T.A.N.S. was a now club this year for the Indian studonts at North. We were one of the first high schools in Minneapolis to have a club with Indian students. T.A.N.S. club advisor was Mr. Barry Blockhawfc. A variety of things hove been done by the T.A.N.S. this year: among them educational field trips, and Indian speakers from colleges. At a panol discussion at Edina, they told in a poem their true feelings of themselves. The T.A.N.S. club bonefits not only the Indian studonts. but the whole school by helping studonts become owaro of thoir identity.
