Student Council has been involved in many activities. The Student Council took an active part in Homecoming and helped to make the 1969 Homecoming the best North has ever had. Weeks before Homecoming the Studont Council formed committees for the Homecoming auditorium, decorations and the dance. Our Homecoming, with a lot of hard work and effort on the part of the Student Council members and their advisers, was fantastic. Among other activities the Studont Council worked on Sno-Week, planned the student lounge and the activities period. Officers were: Tim Carlson. President; Ruth Spellmon, Vice-President; Yvonne Williams. Secretary; Gloria Thompson. Treasurer: and Tony Williams. Junior All-City Representative. Student Council has had two different advisers: Mr. Don Strickland, the first odviser, who did a great deal of work on Homecoming and got the Student Council together again; and our head football coach, Mr. Don Sovell, who took over when Mr. Strickland left, and has worked very hard with the membors of Student Council to help them get the things they want to make North a better school.
