Official Guides A Nordic Pastime Adam to Atom Just follow mo is often heard by new students. now teachors or visitors ot North from members of the Courtesy Committee. Members of this committee, which is o subdivision of the Student Council, show theso students, teachers and visitors through the halls and rooms to acquaint them with North. This group is modo up of 12 students and the adviser is Harriet Madigan. Snakko do Norsk? Tronsloted this means, Do you speak Norwegian? If you do, why don't you join tbo Viking Club? This club is made up of students who take or who have taken Norwegian. Each year the club goes choroling ot Christmas timo and holds a breakfast May 17 in honor of fho day when Norway signed its constitution. Tho Viking Club is headed by Pauline Farseth. North is like a small city because wo have all types of workers. We have shop workers, office trainees, stage hands and, of course, scientists. They are not the mad scientists you hear so much about but are quite sane. They are a group of students who make up the Junior Academy of Science. Ideas harmonize Many hove heard of the PTSA, but how many know whot it moons and who it sfonds for? PTSA means Parent-Teacher-Student-Associotion, and its purposo is »o promote better understanding between tho teocher, the student, and the poront. North High is one of tho few schools in Minneapolis which enjoys this service. Mr. Dillnor moots with tho PTSA to help them. Their adult officers ore Harold E.
