Official Guides A Nordic Pastime Adam to Atom Just follow mo is often heard by new students. now teachors or visitors ot North from members of the Courtesy Committee. Members of this committee, which is o subdivision of the Student Council, show theso students, teachers and visitors through the halls and rooms to acquaint them with North. This group is modo up of 12 students and the adviser is Harriet Madigan. Snakko do Norsk? Tronsloted this means, Do you speak Norwegian? If you do, why don't you join tbo Viking Club? This club is made up of students who take or who have taken Norwegian. Each year the club goes choroling ot Christmas timo and holds a breakfast May 17 in honor of fho day when Norway signed its constitution. Tho Viking Club is headed by Pauline Farseth. North is like a small city because wo have all types of workers. We have shop workers, office trainees, stage hands and, of course, scientists. They are not the mad scientists you hear so much about but are quite sane. They are a group of students who make up the Junior Academy of Science. Three New Clubs Something old, something now . . Everyono's hoard that old saying. Tho three clubs—the Creative Writing, tho Physics and the Choss Club are a littlo of both. The Choss Club was an activity of North a few yoors bock but wos discontinued, so in a sense if is new again this year. Membors of this club moot to loom ond to ploy chess. They also ploy tournaments with sfudonts from oil over the city. Tho members of the Creativo Writing Club bring to their meetings poems, short stories, and essoys that thoy have written ond the other members discuss and criticize them. Tho Einsteins of tho Physics Club not only havo fun fooling oroond with different oxporlments but reolly loam o lot.

These aro only o few cries heard from Emma Siehl during the two drives for tho Red Cross. North's Junior Red Cross is composed of one member from each homeroom ond is odvised by Miss Siehl. This year the Red Cross set o goal of five boxos to be colloctod from eoch homeroom. Mootings are hol'd ovory two or three weoks on Tuoidoy night.
