DIRECTORS ♦ All productions must have directors. Our directors are the principals, counselors, nurse, and teachers. They all work together and cooperate with each other to have a better and more finished production. Just as Shakespeare said, They have their exits and their entrances, the students come and go, but the directors remain for another production.

To the Members of the Class of Nineteen Fifty-Two: No doubt your regular class work has meant much to you. At North we have tried to be helpful to eacn of you in many other ways. Mindful that all the world is a stage' and realizing that each must play his part. we feel that it is necessary for all of us so to act that we may meet the approval of right thinking people. A mastery of facts alone is not enough. It has been our endeavor to help you realize that there is joy in work well done and that enjoyment stops where indolence begins. You have been taught that good morals and good manners will go far to enable you to play this leading role which you may seek. We hope that experience has taught you that courtesy pays and pays and that he who neglects it will lose and lose. Your school years should have taught you profitable and constructive ways in which to use your leisure time. Keeping up with your reading of books of other days as well as those of the present should challenge your interest. As you approach your graduation, we hope you have already realized that which was said long ago, Studies nourish youth,’ and as the years come and go, you will agree that they delight old age . . . they travel with us. Principal To the Graduates of 1952: Your yearbook s theme is an open challenge toward playing your part in the great drama of making a life. Each of you will be playing many parts during your cycle of varied experiences, and the entrances you make are all important. You must have the courage to go to the end of the road and not deviate into the detours. Be realistic to the fact that you must adjust to new circumstances and personalities. A person cannot be two things at the same time You cannot be honest and dishonest in one moment. You cannot be both generous and hard, malicious and kind, lovina and unloving. Act your true part. The human heart cannot happily exist without some great loyalty. Be not afraid to walk and live by faith and hope and love. Life asks so much from each of us and the demands are high. But we will never live greatly unless we have faith in the future, and walk and act the way God intended us to live. May each graduate share a good measure of success and joy from life’s experiences. To you, the seniors, we place our thoughts and our most sincere hopes as you now make a new entry on life’s stage.
