This is the Atomic Age. It can he an age of peace and progress or one of war and destruction. Whatever the future brings, the Atomic Age is our age, ours, the future citizens of the world. Because of the importance of atomic energy in our lives, the Atomic Age has been chosen as the theme of the 1951 Polaris Annual. It is our purpose to emphasize that North High can be used as an example of the world. Here representatives of all countries, colors, and creeds work together in peace and harmony, utilizing their advantages for the good of all, and working together to solve the problems that arise. It should be possible, in this age of advanced civilization, for the nations of the world to live and work together in peace.
