Courses in social and political problems arc covered in social studies classes of North. Through this course we hope to make our students responsible and happy citizens of our democracy and our world. Languages Foreign languages play a necessary role as travel increases in our modern world. North offers courses in German, Latin, Norse and Spanish. Though these courses arc attended mainly by girls, North’s boys also arc privileged to enjoy the training given by the foods classes. Athletics North's well-rounded sports program includes apparatus, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and swimming. These classes arc enjoyed by most students and offer a pleasant diversion from school studies. Industrial Work Homer Fetz-er John Jacobi Walter Kbusier Auto shop, architectural drawing. machine shop, metals, and cabinet making are the classes which make up the industrial department of North. Sciences With the scientific advance of the modern world, litis department is probably the most challenging in the school. It is in the various courses of biology, botany, physics, chemistry, and green house practice that the students learn the workings of our complex universe.
