Mr. Herbert L. Bruner has proved to be outstanding in the field of education because of his ability as a school administrator. Through new and constructive policies he has sought to raise educational standards throughout the city. For many years, girls have looked to Miss Viola Marti for help in personal and school problems. We have been fortunate indeed, in having such a gracious anil understanding person as our counselor The school office may l e called the heart of North; the successful administration of the entire school depends on its smooth operation. Student Council This year the Student Council has made great advances in student government over previous years. Under the guidance of Miss Madigan, advisor, and Warren Johnson, president, the Student Council has successfully undertaken Student Government Day and student run study halls. 7

Mr. Johnson, a new arrival at North litis year, took only a short time to become adjusted to North. There arc many boys who gratefully acknowledge Mr. Johnson's helpfulness and kindness in solving their problems To protect the health of the students at North is Nurse Helen Dargay’s job. In this capacity she readmits those students who have been absent because of illness and supervises our health program No matter where you go or how many people you meet, you will never find any person more willing to help the people around her than our own Mrs. Martin. Her help is welcomed and appreciated by students and parents. 9
