Mr. Herbert L. Bruner has proved outstanding in the field of education because of his ability as a school administrator. Although this is his first year as head of the vast Minneapolis school system, he has already, through new and constructive policies, sought to raise educational standards throughout the city. Mr. Bruner’s reputation shows that with him has come the highest quality of leadership. • To the Graduates of 1949: Our congratulations that you have successfully reached this point in your career and our best wishes for the future of each of you. We arc pleased to welcome the publication of the 1949 annual. As you peruse these pages in years to come, may you tc reminded of the pleasure of accomplishment of that which is most worth while in school life. May any disappointment you may have had serve only as incentive for improvement.
